Scars On
By WHITE GUY
Five tracks, five chapters: the arrival, the fall, the fight, the love, the rise. Scars On is White Guy’s debut EP — from the battle rapper nobody took seriously to the chronicler of his own collapse. Stacked multisyllabics, tempo switches, punchlines with delayed fuses — technically razor-sharp, brutally honest. Not a polished comeback narrative. A field report.
The arc runs from the handshake of the opener “Hi, I’m White Guy” through the thesis statement “Numb Ain’t Healed” and the demons-as-roommates portrait “Tenants” to the letter to his daughter, “While You Were Sleeping” — and ends upright, not untouched: “Still Standing (Scars On)”. The name is the bait. The bars are the trap.
